THE NEW ERA

It's currently 7 past midnight. It's Saturday 12th of November 2016 and I can't believe I'm actually typing my first ever blog post. I'm actually tripping out. I actually did it. I'm actually doing it! I feel nervous, excited and shocked all in one, but I'm so happy. A lot of things have been a long time coming, and this is one of them...
Without doing the whole cliche, cheesy 'Hi, my name is..." routine. I'm trying to think of ways to introduce myself to you, but you probably have some idea what I'm about just by taking a glance at my blog, however a lot of you reading this would have come over from my YouTube channel or Instagram, Abisola Jaydee and if that's the case - hey, again! For those of you how have no clue what I'm talking about, I'll answer a few FAQS and give you a background of me... Keep reading.

"... I use to be so excited to get home from school and film videos, day in and day out..."

What's your actual name?
My name actually is Abisola Jaydee. I use it for everything cause I'm really not creative when it comes to usernames - my names the only one I haven't got bored of yet!

How old are you?
I'm 19 years old. I turn 20 in February. Aquarius baby.

Where are you from?
London, England

Are you Nigerian?
Yes, omo naija ni me! I am Yoruba.

How tall are you?
I'm between 5'1-5'3. It seems to change throughout the year.

What made you start your YouTube channel?
I use to make YouTube videos and had a blog back when I was 14. I remember how I use to be so excited to get home from school and film videos, day in and day out. Without even realising, I had found my niche. Unfortunately, I didn't realise this at the time and eventually stopped due to many little things, and went on with life... however, nothing ever gave me the fulfilment, creativity and make me feel truly like myself the way making videos and blogging did. I just felt lost. Sooo, after a long time thinking about it, I decided to take the plunge - start again, so that's what I'm doing!

Do you make videos as a living full time?
At the moment, no. I'm a student at the moment at university and I also have a job. I make videos as a hobby, and a bit on the side. I would love to one day do it for full time, but I'm just grateful to be back to doing it, more than anything.

I've been at work today so I'm extra slumped, but I got the biggest urge to make a post. I hope that you're just as excited as I am for the future. Subscribe to my YouTube channel for beauty, fashion and lifestyle video and follow me on Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter: @abisolajaydee. See you in my next post, and thank you for reading this far!

Abisola Jaydee,
xx.
